Love + Honey & Thoughts

“We do not think ourselves into new ways of living, we live ourselves into new ways of thinking.” Richard Rohr

It’s never just one thing.  The straw that broke the camel’s back, the way I feel in love with you, my personal health journey.

Our fluctuation through health is as inevitable, as it is redefining.  What brought you to herbalism? Who were you before? What is changing you? And how have you been changed?

The more we lean in to motivation, personal growth, and understanding, the more we realize that nothing about us it constant.  Herbs are just the same. I wonder if the royal red Hawthorn currently on my lips brings me that same comfort when I first found him so long ago.  What did he teach me then? How does he teach me now? It is the cosmic dance of being ready as an individual for the lessons at hand, and the timing of our creator in imparting that wisdom.

Can we open ourselves to that idea in Love?

May we detach ourselves from the outcome, and breathe in to the possibilities.  Gift with no expectations. Be curious about your loves. Allow room for the lessons.  Hawthorn classically protects the heart. On a biochemical level, it’s abundance of anthocyanins protect arterial walls against damage and rigidity.  It has been researched in lowering heart rate in those with cardiovascular disease, increase ejection fraction of the heart muscle, and providing buoyancy of overall vasculature.  With that protection, it allows us freedom to be open, fluid, and versatile. Vulnerability is not heart pain, but heart gain. Let him teach you inner strength through compassion, unconditional love, and freedom.
