Tisanes (herbal teas) are one of the simplest ways to add herbs to your daily routine. Brewing and sipping tea can be an opportunity to pause and care for yourself.
The Autumn Elderberry Tisane is a delicious blend of immune boosting and adaptogenic berries, herbs, and roots. Elderberries and rose hips, a traditional cold fighting pair are blended with astragalus, eleuthero, holy basil (tulsi), cinnamon, clove, orange peel, and hand cut vanilla bean.
Astragalus is known for its ability to strengthen the immune system and energize the body. Astragalus works best if consumed regularly. Eleuthero (Siberean Ginsing) and holy basil (tulsi tea) help the body respond to stress, reducing the negative effects on physical and emotional health. Holy basil also has a long history of use for respiratory ailments due to anti-viral, anti-bacterial, decongestant, and diaphoretic actions. Cinnamon, and clove are warming. Orange peel and vanilla bean round out the flavor.
Steep times for tisanes can vary. Steep 10-15 minutes to make a delicious cup of tea; however if you require more medicinal strength, let the tea steep for up to two hours. Add honey to taste.

Enjoy this summer time treat over iced or blended in as a interesting twist on smoothies and slushes. Ingredients of hibiscus, elderflower, spearmint, lemongrass, and lemon peel add variety and flavor to this respiratory and cardiovascular blend. Elderflower is traditionally used for it’s fever reducing effects. Spearmint helps to open airways and a mild diaphoretic (helps you sweat) which helps the cooling process. Hibiscus is a lovely arterial and cardiovascular tonic, while lemongrass and lemon peel add a beautiful citrus overtone.
1/2 jar brews a 2 gallon container. Use as a sun tea or brew it strong and pour over ice (or try it hot!). You will get different notes with different styles, so try them all

Roots & Rose Masala Chai is a warming, spicy, cold season favorite, full of adaptogenic and immune boosting herbs to help build your body’s resilience in times of stress. The spicy chai is balanced with earthy sweet rooibos and soothing rose and lavender florals. Masala Chai is typically steeped in milk and sweetened with honey but can also be made with water.
This is one of our most popular blends, and back by demand. We used to produce this tea just in winter but now have added it to our core line. Use 1 tablespoon in 8 oz water or your favorite type of milk. Simmer for 15 minutes. For extra spice let steep for 1 hour. I normally make a large batch and then turn it into iced chai the next morning. Sweeten with honey, maple syrup, or Turmeric and Black Pepper Beehive for an extra pizazz.

Inspired by an herbal educational trip to the Amazon, this tea is a delicate blend of cacao shells, vanilla bean, with a hint of cinnamon. The cacao shells produce a beautiful aroma of floral notes from the bean pod itself, with a rich chocolate undertone. This isn't your grandma's hot chocolate. Add some milk and a spot of honey to enjoy a robust flavorful profile like no other. Steep longer for a more bitter and cacao forward tongue.
Breathe is an herbal cold and flu remedy of Yarrow, Hyssop, Elderflower, and Mint. Yarrow and Elderflower are both diaphoretic, meaning they encourage sweating and will help break a fever. Yarrow is astringent and drying which can greatly help those with a sinus infection, wet cough, or even sinus allergies. Yarrow helps to dry up and move excess mucous out of the respiratory system while reducing inflammation in sensitive mucous membranes.
Similarly, Elderflower is anti-inflammatory, astringent, and decongestant. Elderflower acts as a gentle nervine which can help ease tension and anxiety.
Peppermint and Spearmint are gently decongesting, can help reduce a headache associated with sinus pressure and make this tisane taste great.
If you feel a head cold coming on this is a great tisane to turn to. But you don't have to be sick to enjoy this tea, its wonderful anytime.

We use medicinal dosing in our teas, which means they are strong. Imbibing for enjoyment, you of course are welcome to play around with strength and potency. We recommend 2tsp per cup of hot water and to let steep at minimum for 60 seconds. You will want to cover your tea while steeping to make sure you get all the volatile oils from the mint family. The longer this tea sits in hot water the more bitter it will get, which is great for digestion, and some prefer that taste. If you don’t care for the bitterness, we recommend straining after 1-2 minutes of steeping for maximum respiratory aide.
A take on the original PHY609 formula being researched by Stanford University for its immune properties when coupled with traditional chemotherapy, our PHY509 blend consists of local organic jujubes, local organic scutellaria, organic licorice root, and organic white peony.
