Rose Syrup

Rose Syrup

One of my favorite syrups to make starting early Summer when the roses start their show. Like all of the other syrups, this is a super simple recipe and well worth the time.

  • 8-10 roses, petals pulled from the bud/stem

  • 1-2c sugar

  • Pint Ball/Mason jar

  • its easiest when you bruise the petals first. Take as many in your hands as possible and roll up into a tight ball. Add it to a ball jar.

  • Add some sugar.

  • Add more petals

  • Add more sugar

  • Keep doing that until the jar is packed with petals and sugar

  • Shake daily for minimum 3 days.

  • Strain, enjoy.
